It is nice to see the Christmas lights up on the church, even though we can’t gather together.
Today (Dec. 15) work on the air ventilation, filtration and purification system should be completed, so the indoor air, when we are able to gather, will be fresher and safer.
To help our church become more financially sustainable, our Board, on the recommendation of the Sunday Worship team decided to move from 4-2 Sunday services per month led by a paid leader. Elaine, Ted and Celeste will take responsibility for the 1st, 3rd (and sometimes 5th) Sundays of the month.
Under the current COVID regulations, this will be in the form of their email reflections. When we can gather again, it will be interesting to see what creative ideas arise from our gifted DIUC Community for the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month.
Those Sundays could be an opportunity for us to explore new teaching/learning that some of you may wish to offer.
We can also keep it very simple, and gather together in the beautiful sanctuary for silent meditation and to light candles – maybe with some music too.We wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season!
