Denman Island is a caring place and our church community is also here to offer kindness and support to the best of our ability. At times people also need professional pastoral support.
Reverend Elaine Julian is available to provide pastoral care as the need arises for the members of Denman United and their neighbours. Upon request, Elaine will arrange a phone call, a personal visit, an exchange of emails, a Zoom call, or whatever format that works best in individual circumstances. When a personal visit is possible, that can be in a home, at the hospital, in a coffee shop, or in another location mutually convenient. Elaine is available in times of personal or family crisis or just when a quiet conversation might help in settling an anxiety, discerning direction at a crossroads, or as a companion on one’s spiritual journey.
Reverend Elaine can also be contacted to lead rites of passage such as baptisms, weddings, and celebrations of life/memorial services, or to provide Communion to persons in hospital or who are otherwise unable to attend scheduled Services. You can count on her respect for the strictest degree of confidentiality.
