OUR VISION

We are a United Church, rooted in the Christian tradition. We seek to distill and exemplify the unifying and nurturing core of that tradition; namely, the life and teaching of Jesus, untouched by hierarchy, patriarchy, politics and the dominant culture. And, we extend from our core to receive and partner with people of diverse faiths, and others, who share in our love of the earth and all beings.
GATHERING PLACE

The mission of the Gathering Place is to nurture and protect diverse connections to the Spirit within the DIUC and the broader community. It is born of a desire to revitalise the DIUC and to heal historical wounds between the Christian church, other traditions and earth-based spiritual non-religious people. And, we welcome peoples of all spirtual traditions.

Ministry

We have no resident minister at our church but are fortunate to have Reverend Ingrid Brown as our Pastoral Charge Supervisor. She provides rich Sunday morning services, once per month, and other guest ministers, including Reverend Elaine Julian, lead us on some other Sundays. We are also fortunate to have Reverend Ted Hicks provide online reflections under the the title: Pilgrim’s Postcards
