We enjoyed a special advent service with Rev Elaine on December 19th. You can read her full service under the reflections tab. Elaine forwarded this message for us to share, so we thought we would include as a news update. It gives a glimpse of how we all participate in the services. We are particularly happy to have music back in the Sanctuary!
Dear Denman friends,
Many thanks to those of you who were able to be with us at the church yesterday. You all contributed so much (the goodies were amazing!), and particular thanks go to Helen for her hospitality and setting the stage so beautifully, Sheelah and Marion for music leadership, Sussan and Wendy for getting the word out electronically, and Ron and Marion for the readings. Ron also gets a special shout out for printing the bulletins and reminding us that hope is hard but possible in this time of renewed COVID anxiety.
If you couldn’t be with us, we know you were there in Spirit. We hope that reading this service, and maybe lighting some candles, will help you enter into the Hope, Peace, Joy and Love of Advent and Christmas.
