This past week, a few of us attended a Hopeful Economics Unconference put on by the United Church of Canada’s Edge Network. Our church, like many others, is facing the reality of declining attendance at traditional Sunday services. We need to explore new ways of moving forward so we can connect with our broader Denman community in more meaningful ways. One direction that some churches are growing is through social enterprise.

We are only beginning to understand the concept and so we went to the conference to learn more. We offered this short video as part of our virtual ‘exhibitor’s booth’, hoping to connect with others who are involved in community hubs and food security projects.
